Adult Male Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one support for an individual with developmental delays and seizure disorders. The caregiver will assist with daily living activities, ensure safety, and implement care strategies designed to enhance quality of life. This position requires strong observational skills, patience, and the ability to respond calm in medical and behavioral situations. Scope of Services (Key Responsibilities):

• Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
• Supervise closely to ensure safety, especially during seizure activity or periods of instability.
• Administer or assist with medications as prescribed, track and report any side effects or missed doses.
• Maintain a structured routine and support participation in therapeutic, recreational, and educational activities.
• Monitor for changes in behavior, health, or mood, and report observations to family or healthcare professionals.
• Use appropriate communication strategies to support social and emotional development.
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to promote independence and dignity.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports as required.
• Assist with mobility and transportation, if applicable.
• Perform housekeeping tasks related to the care environment (cleaning, laundry, meal prep (cook)
• Follow and enforce all care protocols, emergency plans, and medical instructions.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required: additional training in specials needs care a plus
• Minimum one (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or seizures disorders
• Must pass an FBI background check and all required clearances
• Ability to lift at least 20 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed
• Strong communication skills, patience, and reliability
• Knowledge of seizures first aid and behavior support, helpful

Work Environment:

• Will include a private home setting.

The role requires constant alertness, flexibility in schedule, and the ability to handle emotionally challenging situations with professionalism.

Schedule and Hours:

This is a live-in caregiver position with 12-hour shifts, three (3) days per week. The schedule will include weekends and holidays. Flexibility is essential to accommodate changes in care requirements or emergencies. Sleeping accommodations are provided during live-in shift. (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) or (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Compensation:

• $180 per day
