Jones Road, Saint Cloud, FL 34771 The Assistant Manager supports the daily operations of the Adult Family Care Home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and compliant living environment for adult residents. This role involves supervising staff, assisting with resident care plans, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting resident dignity and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home. Supervise and support care staff to ensure high-quality, person-centered care is provided. Help develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports as required. Conduct staff training, evaluations, and scheduling under manager supervision. Respond to resident, family, or staff concerns and resolve issues promptly. Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), as needed. Promote a clean, safe, and home-like environment for all residents. Assist with medication management and ensure proper documentation. Coordinate with healthcare providers, caseworkers, and families as necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred). Minimum of 2 years of experience in a residential care or healthcare setting. Supervisory or management experience preferred. Knowledge of adult care regulations and best practices. Certification in CPR/First Aid; Medication Administration (if required by state). Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to the well-being of others.
Working Conditions:
