The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those with developmental disabilities, chronic illnesses, or who are in hospice care. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a vital role in fostering independence and ensuring the well-being of our clients through direct support and personalized care. Responsibilities Provide direct support to clients by assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders. Monitor patients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving personal goals and enhancing their daily living skills. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being. Collaborate with agency nurses and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Perform first aid as needed and respond appropriately to emergencies while ensuring client safety. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred. Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and families. Basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients. Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
