This position supports a client who requires assistance with daily living activities and values consistency, safety, and meaningful engagement.
Schedule & Pay Shift:
5:00 PM to 10:00 AM daily
Base Pay:
$100 per day
Additional Companion Hours:
20 extra hours per week at $15 per hour (paid in addition to base pay) Primary Responsibilities Assist with personal care, including: Bathing and toileting Grooming and dressing Prepare and assist with meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Support light housekeeping, laundry, and medication reminders. Provide light lifting and mobility assistance as needed. Client uses a mobile wheelchair and has access to PSTA Access for transportation. Create a safe, supportive, and respectful environment. Provide companionship, engaging the client in meaningful conversation and activities. Monitor overall well-being and report any changes as needed. Assist with daily routines for individuals with autism or special needs. Visitor Policy Friends and visitors are welcome during visiting hours. Overnight guests are strictly prohibited. Documentation & System Use Daily shift documentation must be completed using the iConnect system. Caregiver must have general knowledge of using a computer/laptop. Caregiver must provide their own laptop and have reliable transportation. Qualifications Prior caregiving experience strongly preferred. Ability to safely perform light lifting and mobility support. Familiarity with basic medication reminders. Compassionate, patient, and dependable. Comfortable working with individuals who have autism or other special needs. Knowledge of client rights in home care settings. Certification in nursing or healthcare is a plus but not required. Reliable personal transportation. Personal laptop for documentation purposes. Communication Expectations During Emergencies We fully understand that emergencies and life situations may occasionally take priority. However, open and consistent communication is critical. In the event of an absence, you must notify us of your anticipated return date or how long a backup caregiver should be scheduled. It is not acceptable for us to repeatedly attempt contact without receiving a response. Our work requires reliable care, consistency, and communication at all times. Emergencies are always handled with understanding, provided communication remains open.
