This position involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring resident rights are upheld, and contributing to a safe and nurturing environment for seniors. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, dedicated, and skilled in various aspects of senior care. Duties Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and individual resident needs. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any side effects or changes in condition. Implement behavior management techniques to support residents with specific needs. Uphold resident rights by fostering an environment of dignity and respect. Lift and transfer residents safely as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Maintain accurate records of resident care and communicate any concerns to the healthcare team. Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to senior care. Skills Proficiency in meal preparation that caters to dietary restrictions and preferences. Experience with medication administration in a clinical or residential setting. Strong understanding of behavior management strategies for individuals with varying needs. Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for them effectively. Physical capability to lift and assist residents as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Familiarity with personal care home or group home environments is preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with residents, families, and team members. Ability to work within established systems while maintaining flexibility in responding to resident needs. This role is essential in ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care while promoting their independence and well-being within a supportive community environment.
