This position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and record vital signs to ensure clients’ health is maintained. Observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior and report findings to healthcare professionals. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules. Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring client safety at all times. Support clients with mobility challenges by assisting them in moving safely within their environment. Foster a positive relationship with clients by engaging in meaningful conversations and activities that promote social interaction. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with healthcare teams, including nurses and other care providers, to develop personalized care plans. Skills Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care. Experience in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs. Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR certification is highly desirable. Strong observational skills to monitor patients effectively for any changes in condition. Experience with medication administration protocols within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with nursing home environments or similar caregiving settings is beneficial. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. This role requires dedication to providing high-quality care while ensuring the dignity and respect of each client is upheld at all times.
