DSP/Caregiver Position Available In Polk, Florida

DSP/Caregiver Angels of hope home care LLC Davenport, FL 33837

Duties:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including residential homes, nursing homes, and community-based programs.
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document accurately.
• Monitor and record vital signs as required.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare, healthcare, or direct support is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to follow written instructions and document accurately.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
