Companion/Caregiver Alternative Staffing Sarasota, FL 34234 Work opportunity for experienced companion – homemaker to provide services to an individual with disabilities under the Florida State Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver Program. Experienced caregiver needed to fill shifts for a female individual in the Sarasota area. This individual uses a wheelchair and will need assistance with personal care, transferring, cooking, cleaning, community outings, and activities of daily living. There is not a Hoyer lift at the home, caregiver would need to be able to assist transferring the client. Client is approximately 90 pounds and can assist some with the transfer. Client is nonverbal and uses a communication board to communicate her wants and needs. She is a very kind and positive individual and a pleasure to work for. Client is offering competitive compensation. The client desires a caregiver to be interested, positive, empathetic and attentive to the needs of the client. State requirements include, but not limited to: A minimum of 18 years of age and a minimum of 1 year of verifiable supervised direct care experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or childcare setting or working with individuals who have a developmental disability. And other state credential requirements apply. And must be able to pass and maintain a state-required criminal background screening and valid and state-required current Florida driver license with clean driving record.
