Personal Care Aide For People with Disabiities Community Support Solutions, Inc. Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and comfort. Ideal candidates will have experience in various caregiving settings, including assisted living, hospice care, and home care, and possess a strong understanding of resident rights and vital signs monitoring. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety. Monitor and record vital signs as needed to maintain health standards. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Support clients with daily living activities, such as medication reminders and light housekeeping tasks. Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental well-being. Respect client privacy and uphold resident rights at all times. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following proper hygiene practices. Requirements Previous experience in assisted living, hospice care, or home community care is preferred. Knowledge of working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus. If previously worked or work for Agency for Persons with Disabilities is also a plus. Familiarity with first aid practices and emergency response procedures. Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes in client condition. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others live comfortably at home. Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or moving clients safely. A valid driver’s license may be required based on client needs. Must pass an AHCA Level 2 Background Screening. Must pass a Local Background Screening. Must have or be willing to take CPR/First Aid course. Must be willing to take training classes online. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Have at least 2 years experience working with people with disabilities.
