In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various living environments, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and personal care homes. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of residents while promoting their independence and dignity. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and possess strong behavior management skills. Duties As a Resident Aide, your responsibilities will include: Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring compliance with health protocols. Supporting residents in memory care programs and engaging them in meaningful activities. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents by following hygiene standards and safety protocols. Implementing behavior management strategies to support residents with developmental disabilities. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to monitor residents’ health and report any changes in condition. Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents. Experience The ideal candidate will possess: Previous experience in a group home, assisted living facility, nursing home, or home care setting. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and memory care techniques. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families. A commitment to maintaining a clean environment and promoting resident dignity. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
