If you qualify for the position with an updated PCM certification, you may receive a one-time bonus pay and possibly the highest pay rate. Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those with varying needs, including individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and dementia. This position requires a nurturing spirit, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in diverse environments such as nursing homes and hospice care settings. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation and feeding. Assist with mobility and lifting of clients as needed to ensure their comfort and safety. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Monitor and document changes in clients’ physical or emotional conditions. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to hygiene standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual needs. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients. Skills Experience working with individuals with behavioral clients , autism, or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with behavior focus home environments or group home practices is beneficial. Proficiency in meal preparation and cooking skills to ensure nutritious meals are provided. Knowledge of CPR techniques is preferred for emergency preparedness. Understanding of dementia care principles to effectively support clients experiencing cognitive decline. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to lift clients safely while maintaining proper body mechanics. Background in social work or related fields can enhance caregiving effectiveness.
