Caretaker Browns House Port Saint Lucie, FL 34952 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caretaker to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in home health, senior care, and working with individuals with disabilities, including dementia. As a Caretaker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by offering personalized care and support in a respectful and nurturing environment. Duties Provide daily assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met. Assist individuals with mobility and transportation needs. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote cognitive function and emotional well-being. Administer first aid as needed and maintain a safe environment for clients. Clean living areas to ensure a hygienic space for clients. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans. Skills Proven experience in home health, senior care, or memory care settings. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities, including autism. Strong knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols. Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and families. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining client records and care documentation.
