In-Home Caregiver for Individuals with Disabilities 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars Port Saint Lucie, FL 34987 Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide in-home service care for male with Cerebral Palsy Wheelchair bound maxium 18hrs a week . The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and able to assist with daily living activities, and to assist with daily living activities in a supportive and respectful manner. The role involves working closely with the family to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the individuals in care. Case #2 involves 36-year-old male with Autism in the central park area needing help 2 days a week 16hrs weekly Case 3 involves male client in tradition area looking for 8 hrs weekdays 2 days a week Duties Assist with personal care, including bathing,grooming, dressing, and feeding. Help with mobility, including transfers and positioning. Assist with communication and sensory activities, fostering independence as much as possible. Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to family or medical professionals. Provide companionship and engage in recreational activities to encourage social interaction and emotional well-being. Support clients with memory care activities to promote cognitive engagement. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality at all times. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly cerebral palsy, is preferred. CPR and First Aid Certification. Ability to lift and assist with physical mobility. Patient, empathic, and reliable with strong communication skills.. A clean background check is required, along with any necessary certifications related to caregiving. Experience with medical equipment and therapies is a plus.
