Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide support and assistance to individuals. As a Caregiver/Companion, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by promoting independence and providing companionship.
Duties:
- Provide direct support to seniors and elderly individuals
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor and document any changes in client’s condition or behavior
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Engage clients in social activities and community outings
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Walk Small Dogs if needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in home care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration and first aid are a plus
- Experience working with elderly people is highly desirable
- Familiarity with direct support techniques and strategies
Skills:
- Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
