Homemaker/Companion Ablaze Abundance Homecare The Villages, FL 32163 Job description Job Overview At Ablaze Abundance Homecare, our Homemakers provide vital support to help clients maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing home environment. Under the direction of a supervisor or designee, you’ll assist with everyday household tasks and offer meaningful companionship, helping clients retain their dignity and independence. Responsibilities Follow assignment guidelines and care plans Respond to client requests with timeliness and care Offer companionship and social interaction Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and food preparation Cleaning bathrooms and kitchens (including stove and refrigerator) Vacuuming, dusting, and mopping floors Changing bed linens and doing laundry Running personal errands as approved by the client and agency Practice proper infection control, including hand hygiene Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members Accurately document tasks and observations as required Uphold client confidentiality and show respect in all interactions Accept and complete assignments with sound judgment and professionalism Participate in required training and in-service programs Experience Must be at least 18 years old Able to read, write, follow a written care plan, and document services provided Self-motivated and able to work independently Reliable, patient, and respectful Strong communication and people skills Experience with cooking, cleaning, laundry, and errands Physically and mentally capable of performing required duties Comfortable working with individuals aged 60 and older Basic understanding of homemaking and personal support Able to follow verbal and written directions Able to complete written documentation accurately Why Join Us?
