The ideal candidate will have experience in companion care, patient monitoring, ensuring the highest standards of care for our clients. This role requires a commitment to maintaining the dignity and independence of those we serve while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Duties:

Support clients with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental well-being. Provide light housekeeping or meal preparation as requested by clients. Travel with client to appointments or daily outings. Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress while ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those working with individuals.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in home caregiving is preferred. Knowledge of memory care techniques and patient monitoring practices is preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving. Experience working with individuals with disabilities and elderly is a plus. Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not required at the time of application. Pursuant to section 408.809(1)(b)(c), F. S., proof of background screening is required for home companion employees. The FL State Agency’s background screening web page will provide information on accessing the Clearinghouse as well as additional information and requirements regarding background screening at: Level-2 Fingerprinting required to be submitted to the Clearninghouse website.
