Job Summary:

Caregiver, CNA, Sitter (Assisted Living) As a Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Sitter in our assisted living facility, your primary responsibility is to provide compassionate and individualized care to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility. You may also help with meal service, and light housekeeping duties. Your role includes monitoring residents’ physical and emotional needs, reporting any changes in conditions to CMA or nurse, and offering companionship and emotional support. You will work closely with other co-workers to deliver high-quality care in a supportive, respectful, and professional manner. The position requires maintaining confidentiality, following all safety protocols, and ensuring a positive and nurturing environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, toileting, and meals. Monitor residents’ health and well-being, observing for changes and reporting to CMA or nurse. Provide companionship and engage in social activities to enhance residents’ quality of life. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, ensuring all needs are met. Ensure that all documentation and reports are accurate and timely. Comply with all assisted living regulations and adhere to the policies and procedures of The Lodge.

Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of residents. Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols. Must be able to work at least 2 weekends a month. Ability to stand for extended periods of time and assist with resident transfers. This position requires a caring individual who is committed to enhancing the lives of elderly residents and helping them live as independently as possible within a supportive environment.
