As a Care Provider in a Residential Home, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance, including those with special needs. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of support services aimed at promoting independence and dignity for our clients in various settings such as nursing homes, home health care, and hospice care. Duties Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Assist with daily living activities such as mobility support and medication reminders. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met. Support clients with special needs, including those with autism, by implementing personalized care plans. Respect and uphold resident rights while fostering a trusting relationship with clients. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Skills Strong understanding of resident rights and commitment to ethical care practices. Experience working with people who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work environment. Proficient in meal preparation that caters to individual dietary restrictions. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to assist individuals compassionately. Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum is beneficial. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Comfortable with documenting details during your shift to ensure documentation is completed daily.
