We are looking for a great sitter for our 17-year-old son in Evans, GA during weekdays and another sitter during weekends. We need someone that is willing to pick up my son from school at 2:30 and watch him until we get off of work. We also need help on weekends. Weekend hours will be flexible / varying. Our son is a 17 years old, non-verbal, male with Down syndrome.
MUST HAVE A RELIABLE CAR.
The ideal match will meet the requirements below. Some help needed with bathing and dressing. Must be CPR / first aid trained. Duties Assist client with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing and exercising. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life. Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to client’s dietary needs. Monitor and document client’s health status, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Support the client in mobility and physical activities, including lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations at all times. Engage client in social activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare providers. Qualifications Previous experience in group home settings, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with client, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to lift and assist clients as needed while ensuring their safety and comfort. Understanding of patient care principles and practices. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence. Certification in CPR or First Aid is required. Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and an automobile. Must be able to pass a drug screen.
