Personal Care Aide McCracken Rest Home, Assisted Living 203 Mccracken Street, Waynesville, NC 28786 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors and those requiring specialized care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to resident rights and possess skills in personal care, meal preparation, and home health support. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Monitor and record vital signs as necessary, ensuring the health and safety of clients. Provide direct support in assisted living settings, engaging clients in meaningful activities. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance social interaction. Assist with hospice care when required, ensuring comfort and dignity for clients in their final stages of life. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress. Requirements Previous experience in senior care or as a personal care aide is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of resident rights and the importance of maintaining client dignity. Basic understanding of home health practices, including monitoring vital signs. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others.
