Caregiver for an Active Female Quad On Wheels Atlanta, GA 30309
Job Summary:
Looking for a caregiver to work with an active female quadriplegic. The shifts are short so we need someone who is very close to the downtown area in Atlanta.
Hours needed are as follows:
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings 530pm
- 830pm
- Saturday and Sunday (every other weekend) 7am
- 11am This caregiver will possess the ability to pay attention to detail and be able to follow verbal instructions.
Duties:
- Provide personalized assistance in daily activities such as grooming, bathing, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the well-being of individuals.
- Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to individuals under your care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Engage in activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
- Support individuals with childcare needs when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for the individuals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of hospice care, working with people with developmental disabilities, and home care practices is advantageous.
- Ability to handle tasks with compassion, empathy, and patience.
- Proficient in providing direct support to individuals with diverse needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures is beneficial.
