Job Description:
A Community Access Individual (CAI) is a caregiver who assists individuals with disabilities in their daily lives, providing support with activities like personal care, communication, and community participation. It’s a crucial 1:1 role which aims to enhance the quality of life for those with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
Drive participant to and from social/recreational events using your own vehicle. Supports participant in attaining personal goals and desires. Supports participant to interact with other people outside of the service network in a variety of ways. Cooperates with family members regarding reasonable requests related to participant’s needs. Electronic documentation of notes Maintains a Positive Team Work Environment.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. At least 1 year of experience working with the DD population. First Aid/CPR. Clean MVR (7 years). Maintains current driver’s license. Must have a positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Competency Fluent in the written and spoken English language Basic computer skills
