The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice care. This role involves providing personalized care in a home setting, ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients while promoting their independence. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide meal preparation and cooking according to dietary needs and preferences. Support clients with mobility and lifting as necessary to ensure safety and comfort. Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life. Administer basic health monitoring and assist with medication reminders as needed. Provide care for individuals with dementia, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans. Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Document daily activities and any changes in client condition for ongoing assessment. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing homes or social work is preferred. Knowledge of CPR and first aid practices is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus. Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility challenges. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
