Caregiver Southern Oaks Healthcare Conyers, GA 30012 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of caregiving, including dementia care and senior care, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves working closely with individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist clients with daily living activities and promote independence. Monitor and record vital signs as needed. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction. Administer first aid when necessary and respond to emergencies effectively. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Document daily activities and any changes in client condition. Skills Experience in dementia care and memory care is highly desirable. Knowledge of senior care practices and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Ability to perform basic cooking tasks while adhering to dietary restrictions. Proficient in monitoring vital signs and understanding basic health indicators. Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment for clients. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
