Job Overview:
A CNA/PCA
in an assisted living environment provides crucial support and compassionate care to elderly residents, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring safety and promoting overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Help residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with basic healthcare tasks as directed by nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team regarding resident needs and concerns.
- Participate in training and development programs as required.
Requirements:
- Current CNA certification or PCA credential in accordance with state regulations.
- Previous experience in a senior living or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and senior care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Ability to lift and safely transfer residents as needed.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
