Full Job Description Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Caregiver & Personal Assistant to support a vibrant and accomplished 98-year-old gentleman in his home. This unique role combines home health support , personal business assistance , and light marketing coordination for a recently published book. The ideal candidate is someone who is empathetic, dependable, tech-savvy, and has experience working with seniors and managing personal affairs. Marketing, publishing, or social media experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Home Health & Personal Care:

Assist with daily activities such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and mobility support Administer medications and monitor general health Coordinate with medical professionals and schedule appointments Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping Provide companionship and emotional support

Personal Assistant Duties:

Manage calendar, reminders, and communications (email, phone calls, mail) Assist with household management (bills, supplies, errands) Maintain records and documentation related to health and finances Accompany client to appointments and social engagements as needed

Book Marketing Support:

Coordinate speaking engagements, interviews, and media inquiries Assist with social media posts, newsletters, and website updates Help manage book sales, online listings, and distribution logistics Interface with publishers, book clubs, and marketing professionals

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a caregiver Previous experience as a personal assistant Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent verbal and written communication Familiarity with digital tools (Google Workspace, social media, Zoom) Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism Must be patient, reliable, and emotionally intelligent

Preferred:

Experience in book publishing, marketing, or public relations Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation CPR/First Aid certification Being fluent or conversationally proficient in French would be a huge plus

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience (ranging from $22-$28 an hour, 12 hour shifts Monday through Friday).
