POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of your job is to provide a safe environment,give emotional and social support, and attend to the resident’sphysical needs and comfort. Performs direct care to the residentsas assigned, in accordance with the resident’s care plan, and asdirected by your Supervisor. Performs other duties as directed byrepresentatives of the community. Follows all health, sanitary andinfection control policies and maintains established standards ofpractice set forth by the community’s administration and NursingPolicies and Procedures.
Education & Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in a high school program or be a high schoolgraduate or equivalent. Completion of required coursework with demonstration ofcompetency. Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigatethrough various software programs, including electronic healthrecord software. Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability tofollow verbal and written instructions. Must possess and demonstrate the ability to carry out bothverbal and written directions. Must possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills andattention to detail. Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers and communitystaff in the performance of duties. Ability to observe proper safety and sanitarytechniques. Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements ofthe position/assignment. Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety ofothers in the workplace.
Experience:
Previous experience in long-term care preferred, but notrequired.
