The Direct Care Worker will demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a blend of practical skills and emotional intelligence, particularly in knowing what it means to “take care of someone else life”. Responsibilities 1. Following the Individualized Service Plan (ISP) of recipient as requested 2. Arriving on time at the recipient’s home 3. Completing time sheets and progress notes accurately and on time 4. Attending team meetings as scheduled 5. Completing training hours as required 6. Following Share Care USA policies and procedures 7. Have reliable electronic devices that can be used for EVV on every shift work 8. Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation. 9. Must provide assistance with keeping the home clean and tidy. Not much falls on any one staff because everyone does a little on each shift. 10. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and engaging environment. Must be willing to hold conversations with the Client about current “

” events, (Holidays coming up, Festivals, weather) 11. Must be willing or already enjoy getting a little exercise, these ladies go for walks around the block, transport to Train Unique Gym for exercise and take those exercises back to the home to experiment with. 12. Assist in making grocery list, keeping track of paperwork needed in home, maintenance in home needed….etc 13. Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition or behavior to the healthcare team. 2 of the three Women cannot be left alone. All must be monitored closely because they are fall risks. 14. Ensure resident rights are upheld and respected at all times. 15. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. The most lifting that must be done is one lady has a wheelchair we use in the community. You must load it in and out of your car. 16. Administer first aid as required and follow safety protocols to maintain a safe living environment. Skills Be able to work as a constructive team member. Strong skills in patient observation to identify changes in behavior or health. Follow a schedule that is already in place for a client. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or other disabilities is a plus. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members. Compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to help others achieve their fullest potential.
