In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. You will work in a group home or similar setting, focusing on patient monitoring, caregiving, and implementing care plans tailored to each individual’s needs. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Monitor and document the health and well-being of clients, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel. Implement individualized care plans that promote independence and personal growth for each client. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents. Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients. Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on best practices in caregiving and direct support. Requirements Previous experience in group home settings or senior care is preferred. Familiarity with long-term care practices and patient monitoring techniques is advantageous. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A caring attitude, patience, and empathy towards individuals requiring support. Ability to follow care plans accurately while being flexible to adapt as needed. Must be able to maintain a clean environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
