Caregiver:
Companionship and conversation; Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation; Incidental transportation to and from appointments, errands and activities; Medication assistance and/or reminders;
Alzheimer’s Care Caregiver Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect. Compassionate and empathetic approach to caregiving, ensuring clients feel valued and comfortable. Ability to work with clients receiving Hospice care or at the end of life, providing emotional support and physical assistance. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals. Be a good and patient listener in a friendly and polite manner, adapting to clients’ unique needs and preferences. Dependability and reliability to ensure consistent and quality care. Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. Basic knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care or a willingness to undergo training. Ability to follow care plans, maintain accurate records, and report changes in a client’s condition. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable for the role).
