The position focuses on providing engaging and meaningful activities to our Memory Care residents’. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents with memory impairments by promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical well-being. This would NOT be an ideal position for a Caregiver or CNA unless you have extensive experience in planning and executing the plan to carry out activities! Ideal role for those with a social work or education background.

Responsibilities:
Activity Planning:

Collaborate with the Memory Care Director to implement a diverse range of activities suitable for residents with varying cognitive abilities. Tailor activities to the interests, preferences, and abilities of the female residents.

Engagement and Assistance:

Assist residents in participating in activities, providing encouragement and support as needed. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes socialization and a sense of community among residents. Provide regular updates to the Memory Care team regarding residents’ progress and engagement levels.

Communication:

Collaborate with other staff members, including caregivers and healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to resident care. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to address concerns, provide updates, and gather feedback.

Safety and Well-being:

Monitor residents during activities to ensure their safety and well-being. Report any changes in residents’ behavior or health to the Memory Care team promptly.

Qualifications:

Weekends required. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a memory care or assisted living setting is

REQUIRED.

Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in enhancing the lives of seniors. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
