The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a patient and observant individual who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they care for. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect. Observe patients for any changes in behavior or health status and report findings to appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards and protocols. Implement care plans tailored to each client’s specific needs, including those requiring dementia care or hospice care. Lift and transfer clients as needed while ensuring their safety and comfort during the process. Foster a supportive relationship with clients, encouraging independence while providing necessary assistance. Qualifications Experience in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong skills in patient observation and the ability to recognize changes in client conditions. Knowledge of CPR techniques is a plus. Previous experience in dementia care or hospice care is advantageous. Ability to follow care plans accurately and adapt as necessary based on client needs. Must possess physical stamina to lift clients and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods. A compassionate attitude toward individuals in need of care, along with excellent interpersonal skills.
