Full Job Description Overview:
Our client is seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Aide to provide essential care to individuals. As an Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a caring demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following care plans.
Responsibilities :
Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Support clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities- providing companionship and engaging them in meaningful activities. Aid individuals with disabilities in their daily routines, promoting independence while ensuring safety. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition. Help clients with mobility issues by providing assistance during transfers and ambulation. Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Qualifications:
Pass background check, fingerprint and drug screening Previous experience in home community care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred. Clean driving record Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems is beneficial. Familiarity with medication administration protocols is required. Experience providing care for individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Must be reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
