2nd Shift Direct Care Worker Description Join our mission-driven team atMHA and make a real difference! We’re looking for compassionate,reliable, and supportive individuals to empower adults impacted byhomelessness, mental health challenges, trauma, and/or addiction intheir journey toward recovery and independent living. Direct CareWorkers will provide a supportive environment in a community residentialsetting, empowering the participants who have been impacted byhomelessness, psychiatric diagnosis, trauma, and/or addiction inachieving their vision of recovery and rehabilitation, focusing onstrength and resiliency through person-centered planning. They willperform responsibilities professionally, in accordance with MHA?s CoreValues (Respect, Integrity, and Compassion), organizational mission,policies, practices, program funding and applicable regulatory agencyguidelines.
Shift:
Full-time, 40 hours/week, Tues-Sat 3p-11p
WhatYou’ll Do:
Support participants with daily routines (cooking, cleaning,hygiene, etc.) Teach life skills and promote independence Providetransportation to appointments or activities Encourage self-advocacy andconnect participants to community resources Facilitate group activitiesand house meetings Respond to health or behavioral concerns usingsupportive strategies Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safetyprotocols Requirements High school diploma or GED human servicesexperience is preferred Valid driver’s license Reliable transportationto utilize during work hours Auto insurance with your name listed as aninsured driver on the policy Strong communication skills and ateam-first mindset Patience, compassion, and the ability to adapt toparticipant needs Ability to pass background checks and requiredcertifications (MAP, CPR, First Aid) Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical,Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (403B, IRA) Life Insurance (Basic,Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Long Term Disability
