Caregiver Nova Leap Home Health Holyoke Hadley, MA 01035 Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, particularly for those with autism, dementia, or memory-related challenges. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide patient monitoring to ensure safety and well-being throughout the day. Support individuals with autism by implementing tailored care plans and engaging in meaningful activities. Offer memory care support through cognitive exercises and companionship. Prepare nutritious meals while considering dietary restrictions and preferences. Lift and transfer clients safely as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Administer CPR or first aid when necessary and maintain a safe environment for all clients. Document care provided and communicate any changes in the client’s condition to the appropriate personnel. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia care and memory support strategies. Certification in CPR is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for this role. Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility as needed. A reliable mode of transportation is preferred for commuting between client locations.
