The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with autism and a strong background in senior care, including hospice and memory care. This role involves providing essential support to residents, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and comfort in a caring environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal care. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in residents’ health to the appropriate staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols. Advocate for resident rights and ensure their needs are met with respect and dignity. Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs. Support residents with memory care techniques to promote cognitive engagement and emotional well-being. Skills Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable. Knowledge of CPR and first aid practices is beneficial. Strong understanding of senior care principles, including hospice care practices. Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the living environment. Familiarity with meal preparation that meets dietary restrictions or preferences of residents. Commitment to upholding resident rights and advocating for their needs. Proficiency in monitoring vital signs and assisting with basic health assessments. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience when assisting residents.
