Church Street, Oakland, ME 04963 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Personal Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in their daily activities and promoting their independence. Your commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those you serve is vital in creating a positive and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs and preferences. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration. Engage clients in social activities that promote community involvement and personal development. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients. Assist with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care. Skills Experience in home care or working with individuals with autism is highly desirable. Familiarity with hospice care and memory care practices is a plus. Knowledge of group home settings and care plan development is beneficial. Strong understanding of medication administration protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Experience working with individuals with disabilities and understanding their unique challenges. Background in social work or related fields can enhance your effectiveness in this role. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
