PSS Nouradine Support Services LLC Kittery, ME 03904 Job Summary The Personal Support Specialist (PSS) plays a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, home care environments, and memory care units. The PSS is responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their independence and dignity. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about patient care and has the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with disabilities. Duties Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring individuals safely. Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assist clients with memory care strategies to enhance cognitive function and maintain a safe environment. Engage clients in social activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of client information at all times. Collaborate with social workers and other healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive relationship built on trust. Qualifications Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred, particularly in assisted living or home community care settings. Knowledge of memory care techniques and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to lift patients safely using proper techniques and equipment. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Certification as a Personal Support Specialist or equivalent training is a plus but not required. $18.00 – $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 33 per week
