The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support, long-term care, and memory care, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of personal care and assistance. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in need, while also promoting independence and dignity. Responsibilities Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including assisting clients with mobility and transfers. Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional conditions to family members or healthcare professionals. Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all living spaces are tidy and organized. Support clients with medication reminders and adherence as instructed by healthcare providers. Collaborate with family members and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Requirements Previous experience in long-term care or as a caregiver is preferred. Knowledge of memory care techniques is advantageous. Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in client conditions. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance. A background in nursing, social work, or related fields is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Must be reliable, compassionate, and possess a strong sense of responsibility towards client care. Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
