Job Description
- Direct or assist residents in transfer techniques to walk or use the walker or other assistive devices
- Direct, assist, or provide ROM Coordinate or assist with other restorative functions
- Evaluate the residents progress and provide input into the care plan
- Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living (ADL’s) including bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, oral care, nail care, hair care, and skin care.
- Serve and assist with meals and supplements and record food and fluid intake. Assist with Bowel and Bladder Training programs.
- Take vital signs and record as needed.
- Take heights and weights as needed.
- Assist in the dining room as assigned.
- Change linens as needed Read and follow residents ADLs Care Plan
- Observe resident for changes in condition and report to nurse.
- Document care provisions on the designated record or electronic device
- Be knowledgeable about and promote residents rights.
- Knowledgeable of, report, and prevent abuse, neglect, exploitation, or misappropriation of funds in vulnerable adults.
- Promote a safe, clean environment in which the residents may live.
- Become a participating facility team member with the residents as first priority
- Any other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Restorative Nurse or CNO Knowledge of and adheres to HIPPA regulations.
- Refrains from any disclosure of information, treatment or progress to the other residents, family, or visitors.
- Refrain from the use of obscene, vulgar, or derogatory language while on duty.
- Must be currently certified and in good standing in state of Mississippi
- Must maintain at least 12 in-service hours yearly.
- Previous experience desired, but not required.
