The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various healthcare settings, including experience with geriatrics and emergency medicine. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties As an In Home Caregiver, your responsibilities will include: Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Providing companionship and emotional support to clients. Monitoring clients’ health by observing and reporting any changes in their condition. Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring proper medication management. Assisting with mobility and physical therapy exercises as needed. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop care plans tailored to individual client needs. Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulations. Provides and/or assist clients with activities of daily living such as grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair, feeding and nourishment, incontinence care. Performs and/or assists clients with passive range-of-motion exercises, ambulation, and transfer to/from bed, floor, wheelchair and shower chairs as needed. Positions clients in bed and/or chair when appropriate. Documents and reports care provided and client observations including unusual or significant changes in physical, mental or behavioral conditions and family situations or needs to appropriate health care professional. Responds to client’s request and corrects environmental hazards in an appropriate and safe manner. Obtains and performs vital signs, heights and weights, intake and output measurements, etc. Knows and is able to respond to emergency needs such as Heimlich maneuver, CPR and other disaster procedures designated by Agency policies. Provides reminders for self-administration of medications which are ordered by a physician or other persons authorized by State law to prescribe medicine. Performs incidental household services that are essential to the client’s care at home dust, mop, and sweep, vacuum, make bed, change bed, or do laundry. Other duties may be assigned from time to time Experience and Requirement Candidates should possess the following experience or skills: Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A commitment to providing high-quality care with empathy and respect for client dignity. The Caregiver Staff Shall have a high school or be certified under the G.E.D. Program and shall meet one or more of the ollowing qualifications: Shall be a healthcare practitioner Shall have one (1) year experience in Home Care, Companion, Sitter, and Respite Care Services Must be able to lift 40 pounds, bend, stoop, and access shelves overhead Ability to deal with stress Must have completed an approved Nurse Aide training program and/or approved competency evaluation program Must possess a valid driver’s license, personal means of transportation, and a safe driving record Join our team of dedicated professionals who are making a difference in the lives of those we serve!
