This position focuses on enhancing the quality of life for clients by providing compassionate care and ensuring their comfort and safety in various settings, including group homes and memory care facilities. The PCA is dedicated to promoting resident rights and fostering independence while delivering personalized support tailored to each individual’s needs. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Support individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing care plans that promote independence and personal growth. Ensure a safe environment by monitoring clients’ health and reporting any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel. Facilitate social interactions and engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function, especially for those with dementia or memory care needs. Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and individuality in all interactions. Maintain cleanliness in living areas and assist with household tasks as needed. Skills Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities and dementia care. Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families. Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs while ensuring food safety standards are met. Compassionate approach to senior care that emphasizes empathy and understanding. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and healthcare professionals. Familiarity with home community care practices that support client independence.
