Duties Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance. Monitor patients’ health by observing their physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting clients safely as needed. Support clients with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring adherence to hygiene standards. Document patient observations and care provided in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Uphold resident rights by treating all clients with respect and dignity. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or hospice care is preferred. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and the ability to observe changes in client conditions. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Ability to lift and assist clients safely; physical stamina is essential for this role. Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with clients and families. Understanding of senior care principles and resident rights advocacy. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus but not required.
