This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those under your care, particularly in memory care settings and long-term care facilities. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in meaningful conversations and activities. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the client’s living space to ensure a safe environment. Implement behavior management techniques as needed to support clients with specific challenges. Document client progress and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans. Experience Previous experience in home care, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and memory care practices is highly desirable. Experience working in group homes or community care environments is an asset. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
