Job Description
In Home Caregiver Gwendolyn Mayo 55 South Cousins Court, Smithfield, NC 27577 Overview I am seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support and care for my 20 year old daughter in home. She has Cerebral Palsy and wheelchair bound. She’s very social, loves reading, music, and outdoors. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for her. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting her with daily living activities, ensuring her comfort and well-being.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age Be able to lift at least 100 lbs. CPR certified (can help obtain CPR, if needed) Responsibilities (but not limited to): Assist client with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to treatment plans. Help client with mobility, including transferring them from bed and/or shower to wheelchair or other equipment. Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. Experience Previous experience in caregiving with special needs and disabilities, or patient care is preferred but not required. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with client, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
