Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and youth in need. Duties Provide daily care and supervision to children and youth in the home. Administer medications as prescribed by the physician. Assist with daily routines, including meals, school preparation, and recreational activities. Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere. Intervene with clients experiencing emotional or behavior disturbance. Implement individualized care plans and collaborate with therapist and case workers. Monitor the environment for safety concerns. Complete required paperwork, such as incident reports and progress notes. Maintain written records related to the behavior of the client under his/her supervision. Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and adhere to emergency procedures. Direct Care staff must possess effective conflict resolution skills. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelors degree in a related field preferred. Previous experience working with children or youth in a group home is a plus. Strong skills in communication and interpersonal skills & patient observation and the ability to recognize changes in client conditions. Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors effectively Must Pass a background check and have a valid ID Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and their families. Must be reliable and work the hours-as business needs, patient, and possess a strong commitment to supporting individuals with diverse needs.
