The ideal candidate will have experience in home care settings and possess the skills necessary to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to patient observation and monitoring, as well as the ability to handle various caregiving tasks with empathy and professionalism. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed. Monitor patients’ health and report any changes in condition to family members or healthcare professionals. Support clients with memory care activities, particularly those with dementia or cognitive impairments. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Offer direct support for individuals with autism, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients. Document daily care activities and observations accurately. Qualifications Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring practices. Familiarity with dementia care strategies and memory care activities. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with autism. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare providers. Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required.
