Full Job Description Job Summary:
Sila Senior Care is looking for qualified caregivers to assist with the in-home care of clients in Southport . We assist non-medical clients ranging from companion care to mid-range personal care; and hospice clients along with their hospice team. Successful caregivers have a caring and empathetic nature and experience working with the elderly. - Must have current driver’s license and be able to pass a background check. References upon request.
- Must have open availability and transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Providing comfort and support and see to the personal needs of the patient
- All ADLs and IADLs as needed
- Listening to and conversing with the patient
- Help with personal hygiene, grooming and dressing
- Assistance with light housekeeping duties and running errands
- If working with hospice, you will communicate with the hospice team and Sila office staff as to any changes in patient’s condition
- Tracking time, entering notes and quick response time
Skills:
- Experience working in home community care, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is a plus
- Strong understanding of systems and procedures, with the ability to adapt to new protocols
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality
- A clean and organized approach to work, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy living environment
- Ability to work effectively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
