Private In-Home Caregiver Private family/At home care Chapel Hill, NC 27516 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and organized caregiver to assist a senior couple in their 80s. The couple are living independently on their own. One is able to drive, one has a significant hearing impairment. They are funny and strongwilled and love to watch sports. Because of their age there is some confusion setting in and hearing impairment does not help with the confusion so having someone in person to support them daily will greatly aid them in navigating life “independently.” The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality care and support, ensuring both individuals are comfortable, safe, and well-cared for in their home.
Duties Housekeeping:
Light cleaning and maintaining a tidy home environment, including laundry, organizing, and ensuring a safe living space.
Meal Preparation:
some support in meal preparation will be required
Medication Supervision:
Reminding and assisting with the timely administration of prescribed medications.
Transportation & Errands:
Driving the couple to medical appointments and running errands.
Communication Support:
Assisting in communication between the couple, their doctors, and family members, ensuring updates on health concerns and care plans are clear and accurate.
Qualifications Experience:
Prior experience in caregiving or senior care preferred. A caring attitude and the ability to learn are essential.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Personality:
A patient, empathetic, and compassionate individual who enjoys working with seniors and is sensitive to their needs.
Reliability:
Must be dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required.
