PCA Personal Care /Companionship Livi Home Care Salisbury, NC 28144 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role is vital in delivering personalized care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and home environments. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment. Monitor and record client health information, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safe movement within their living spaces. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement care plans tailored to individual client needs. Support clients with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals. Engage clients in social activities and hobbies to promote mental well-being. Qualifications Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare settings such as clinics or hospitals is advantageous. Skills in geriatrics, medical-surgical care, emergency medicine, or trauma care (Level I or II) are highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
